Philadelphia College of Pharmacy has received funding from the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) as a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health to address hypertension. As part of this grant, PPA has offered each Pennsylvania school of pharmacy the opportunity to receive up to $2,000 to conduct public hypertension screening initiatives during the 2017-2018 school year. The PPA and APhA-ASP Operation Heart student chapters at PCP are collaborating throughout the year to carry out these efforts lead by their faculty advisors Elizabeth Harris, PharmD, and Grace Earl P’86, PharmD’92.
