Occupational Therapy Students Selected for Competitive Summer Experiences

Four Occupational Therapy students were selected for competitive opportunities this summer. Nancy Greene DrOT’20 was accepted into the competitive 2019 Summer Institute for Future Scientists in Occupational Therapy. The institute, which is held in Charleston, SC is a joint venture with the American Occupational Therapy Association and is open to only 30 students nationwide. The program introduces student to a career in research, connects them with mentors in the occupational therapy scientific community, and immerses them in a research-focused professional experience.

William Librizzi DrOT’20, Delaney Booth DrOT’20, and Sierra Clair DrOT’20 were selected for an internship with American Occupational Therapy Foundation's scientific programs officer. Through these experience they will experience research and grant funding. Students will reach out to leaders in the field to expand their knowledge of research and advocacy for occupational therapy.
