Microbiology Student Awarded First Place for Poster Presentation

Miranda Ginder MB’19, a senior microbiology major performing research in the lab of Jason Heindl, PhD, presented her work at the Allegheny Branch of the American Society for Microbiology's
annual meeting.
She won first place in the undergraduate environmental microbiology poster presentation.
Her presentation was titled, "A central role for the transcriptional regulator VtlR in small RNA-mediated gene regulation in Agrobacterium tumefaciens."
This research is a collaboration between the Heindl lab and the lab of Clay Caswell at Virginia Tech.
