Graduate Students Present at Infection and Immunity Forum

Under the direction of Jason Heindl, PhD, assistant professor of biology, two graduate students, Priya Aryal PhD (Cell and Molecular Biology) and Gilda Bocco MS (Cell Biology and Biotechnology) presented their work at the 2021 Philadelphia Infection & Immunity Forum (PIIF). 

Aryal’s talk, entitled “Analyzing the role of a dual function diguanylate cyclase/phosphodiesterase for attachment and motility in Agrobacterium tumefaciens,” was selected as only one of seven to be presented as podium talks. Bocco's poster was titled, "Understanding the role of VtlR on virulence pathway in Agrobacterium tumefaciens through the use of site-directed mutagenesis." 

The PIIF is an annual event sponsored by the Eastern Pennsylvania branch of the American Society for Microbiology.
