Odessa Jackson, general counsel and chief compliance officer at USciences, was selected for the Forum of Executive Women. Founded in 1977, The Forum of Executive Women is a membership organization of 450 women of significant influence across the Greater Philadelphia region. The Forum’s membership is comprised of individuals holding the senior-most positions in the corporations, not-for-profit organizations and public sector entities that drive our regional economy and community.
Robert Ashford MSW, who will enroll this fall as a PhD student at USciences, recently had an article published in Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly. Entitled “Collegiate recovery programs and disordered eating: exploring subclinical behaviors among students in recovery”
Ashford also is co-author of “ The Language of Substance Use and Recovery: Novel Use of the Go/No–Go Association Task to Measure Implicit Bias” published in the journal Health Communication.
Dan Hussar gave a Grand Rounds presentation on the topic, "New Drug Update 2018," at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton on May 9th. He was introduced by his PCP classmate Douglas Allen who owns a community pharmacy in Scranton and has been Chairman of the Board at Moses Taylor Hospital for 35 years.
Dan Hussar presented "New Drug Update 2018" at the annual meeting of the Delaware Pharmacists Society (DPS) on May 8th. PCP alumni were well represented among the award recipients at the meeting. Elizabeth Ryan received the Pharmacist of the Year Award, Jay C. Patel received the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award, James Kaminski received the Harry C. Zeisig Award, and Michael Dejos received the Cardinal Health Generation Rx Champions Award. Michael also serves as the Vice-President of DPS.
Anil D’mello served as one of the two external reviewers for the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The other reviewer was Dr. Kathleen Boje, Associate Dean, Academic Affairs and Program Director of the B.S. Pharmaceutical Sciences program in the School of Pharmacy at SUNY Buffalo.
Ruy Tchao recently served as a panelist at BioStrategy Partners, Inc.’s Practical Knowledge Series Lunch Seminar. The seminar, “Surviving Data Scrutiny,” was held at Temple University on April 20th.
Diane Hadley and Shanta Sen recently had their article, entitled “A pilot IPE workshop integrating OT, pharmacy, PT, and PA programs” published in Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning.
