Faculty and Students Spark Passion for PT in Middle School Students

Faculty and students from USciences Department of Physical Therapy recently visited Saint Frances de Sales School to teach middle schoolers about the field of physical therapy at the “Sparking Passion for Science” event on December 15, 2021. 

Lora Packel PT, MSPT,PhD, Greg Thielman PT, MSPT, ATC, EdD, and six Doctor of Physical Therapy students worked with over 100 7th and 8th graders to teach them about careers in physical therapy. The middle school students also participated in hands-on physical therapy demonstrations, such as strength training and balance assessments.
