CUR Hosts Virtual Panel Discussion About Funded Research and Internships

On December 8, 2020, the Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) held a virtual seminar-panel discussion on how to apply for funded research experiences and internships.
Abou 65 USciences undergraduate students participated in the event as CUR Director Roberto Ramos PhD discussed the different paid research opportunities within USciences such as the USURF (USciences Summer Undergraduate Research Fund) awards and departmental research awards and opportunities off campus including those at NASA, Dept of Energy, National Institute of Health, and more.
Two USciences undergraduates, Thomas Webster and Julie Nguyen, who were accepted to these external internships, were on hand to share their experiences in their successful applications.
