Published on October 24, 2019
Kent Steinriede BW’10 presented at the AMWA Medical Writing & Communication Conference, advising
writers to check beyond the data when doing a quality control review of safety narratives.
The presentation was adapted into an article originally published in AMWA Journal in October 2019.
“Find out what the story is,” Steinriede stressed throughout his session about the
quality control (QC) review of safety narratives. Steinriede highlighted the elements
of the safety narrative, source documents and tools used in QC review, and tips for
best QC work.
