Associate Professor of Physics Featured in National Physics Magazine

Roberto Ramos PhD, director of the Center for Undergraduate Research and associate professor of physics, was featured on the winter 2019 cover of the SPS Observer, a magazine sent to all physics majors and departments across the country. Dr. Ramos was profiled in an article titled “A Better Way of Explaining Physics.”
The article focused on his style of mentorship, where Ramos has encouraged physics
majors to become partners in research and outreach. It also highlights Ramos receiving
the 2019 Outstanding SPS Chapter Advisor award, an honor given by the National Society
of Physics Students.
