Amy Cuhel-Schuckers joins USciences as Director of Sponsored Projects and Research

Published on March 10, 2021

Amy Cuhel-Schuckers, DMin, CRA, GPC, has joined University of the Sciences as the Director of Sponsored Projects and Research. Dr. Cuhel-Schuckers is a certified research administrator (CRA) and a grant professional certified (GPC), and brings over 18 years of experience to USciences.

Active in the research administration and research development communities, Dr. Cuhel-Schuckers is particularly interested in institutional capacity building around grantsmanship, and inclusive support for faculty. In addition, she has been published as lead author of a recent peer-reviewed article, is on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Research Administration, and serves as the founding chair of the Author Fellowship Program Committee, a JRA project.

Originally from Western New York, Dr. Cuhel-Schuckers currently resides outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and gardening. She also dedicates time to serving on the board of National CARP, a small, religiously-affiliated non-profit organization.

Her mantra is “nothing ventured, nothing gained” followed by the corollary “perseverance furthers” and she looks forward to getting to know faculty, their research interests and projects, and assisting them in developing/strengthening their research-related funding proposals. Contact her early, and often!
