Eagle Scout Andrew Chin DrOT’23 Chosen as a Delegate for Boy Scouts Prestigious Report to the Nation in DC

Andrew Chin DrOT'23Andrew Chin DrOT’23 will be one of 12 youth delegates from across the U.S. representing the Boy Scouts of America in Washington, DC, between Feb. 24 to March 1, 2018, to present the organization's annual Report to the Nation to top U.S officials. The report, designated in the BSA's Congressional Charter, highlights the organization's achievements in 2017. He was selected from approximately 2.3 million youth members from across the country. Some of the activities planned during the six days include visiting the Pentagon, the Supreme Court, the Capitol, and the White House and laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier and. Chin attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2016. His Eagle Scout project involved raising $4,000 for installing 188 braille room signs at Morristown High School to make it more accessible for blind and visually impaired students. He then held a blindness awareness day where 13 exhibitors promoted awareness of the activities and daily living solutions for the blind and visually impaired.
