Physics Professor Re-Elected to Physics National Council

2019 SPS National CouncilRoberto Ramos PhD, associate professor of physics, has been re-elected to a second three-year term on the National Council for the Society of Physics Students (SPS)

The SPS National Council is the main governing body for the SPS and the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society. Dr. Ramos serves as a Zone Counselor for Zone 3, which represents 74 SPS chapters from New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. 

During his first term, Dr. Ramos organized zone meetings, served on the National Awards Committee, and mentored the USciences chapter of SPS.

Dr. Ramos has been awarded the Outstanding Chapter Advisor award and, under his guidance, the USciences SPS chapter has been awarded their fourth consecutive Outstanding Chapter Award.
