    A well-respected professor of clinical pharmacy with more than 46 years at University of the Sciences, George E. Downs PharmD'72 was honored with the title of Linwood F. Tice Professor of Pharmacy during the University's 198th Founders' Day Ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019. The Dean of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Edward Foote P'87, PharmD'91 was also honored with the John Wyeth Endowed Deanship as part of the Founders' Day Ceremony.

    In high school, he started his career in pharmacy by taking a job as a technician at a local pharmacy just a few miles away from his home. "I was initially unsure if I wanted to pursue pharmacy but as I got a better understanding of how important pharmacies/pharmacists are in the community, I decided I want to make a difference and I chose pharmacy," said Dr. Amin. Fast-forward a few years, he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2009.
