Undergraduate and Transfer Advanced Placement and Credit Options

USciences recognizes AP, IB, CLEP, and Transfer credits which can give a student advanced standing.

AP Credits

Please have your official AP Scores sent from College Board to the USciences Admission Office to be considered for advanced credit. Below are the AP Courses we will review, along with the necessary AP Score needed for credit.

University of the Sciences does not award credit for AP statistics.

* Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Science, Microbiology and Pharmacy majors require a score of 5 to receive AP credit
^ Physics majors are not eligible to receive college credit for AP physics courses.
+ Students must take both Physics 1 and Physics 2 to receive credit.
‡ Environmental Science majors are not eligible to receive college credit for AP environmental science

International Baccalaureate (IB Credit)

USciences offers advanced standing through the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB). IB Examination results will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.

  • Science & mathematics courses will require an IB exam score of 6 or 7
  • Non-science / math courses will require an IB exam score of 5, 6, 7

College-Level Exam Program (CLEP)

USciences awards credit for CLEP examinations in the subject areas of:

  • Business
  • Composition and Literature
  • Foreign Languages
  • History
  • Social Sciences

A minimum score of 50  is needed to award credit. 3 credits will be awarded for each subject test of a 50 or more. Credit will not be awarded for science and mathematics subject tests.
