Kim Robson, DMA
Music Program Director
Chorus, Chamber Choir, Brass, Jazz, Wind Ensembles Instructor

Originally a flute student of John Oberbrunner, Dr. Robson received her BS in Geolo­gy from Allegheny College, MM in Voice Performance from the New England Con­servatory, and Doctor of Musical Arts from Boston University. Dr. Robson’s many performances include Sarah in Out of the Rain (world premier), Gianetta in L’Elisir d’Amore, and American Family Theatre’s national tour of Beauty and the Beast. She is a soloist and soprano section leader, and occasional flutist at St. David’s Church, Wayne, PA. Dr. Robson directs the music program at University of the Sciences, also conducting the choir, chamber choir, brass ensemble, wind ensembles, and jazz band. Her research area is music performance anxiety.

Russell Ferrara
Guitar Ensemble Instructor

A graduate of Temple University (classical guitar performance), Mr. Ferrara also trained with eclectic master Pat O’Brien, Alice Artzt, Karen Meyers (lute), and Peter Segal. He has performed and taught widely in the Delaware Valley and beyond, appearing with the Philadelphia Renaissance Wind Band (now Piffaro), the Reading Symphony, and as accompanist for divas Freda Herseth and Julianne Baird. Mr. Ferrara and his partner David Rose are Spirit Wind Records artists Lackawanna Sky.



David Nelson, MM
Percussion Ensemble Instructor

David Nelson graduated from Temple University with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Percussion Performance. He studied with Alan Abel, Glenn Steele, Jonathan Haas, and Cloyd Duff.  A member of the Philly Pops, Orchestra 2001, and the Reading Symphony, Mr. Nelson performs regularly with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Delaware Symphony, the Lancaster Symphony, and has also played with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania Ballet. Mr. Nelson has recorded with the Philadelphia Orchestra, The Albany Symphony, NFL Films, and Orchestra 2001. One of his latest Orchestra 2001 recordings was nominated for a 2010 Grammy award. He has also been asked to play timpani on the albums of L.L Cool J. and R. Kelly. Mr. Nelson is a Performing Artist for Zildjian, Grover Pro Percussion, and Innovative Percussion.
