Exchange Program with University of the Arts
At University of the Sciences, we’re dedicated to interdisciplinary education. Our exchange program with the University of the Arts underscores this commitment, allowing students from each University who meet appropriate prerequisites to take one course per semester at the other institution (up to nine credits) with no additional tuition.
These two universities are at once similar and profoundly different. Their confluence offers students a rare opportunity to complement their studies and broaden their perspective while accessing the resources of two universities for the price of one.
USciences students can take courses in fields as such as music, online publishing, multimedia, and dance—or even private lessons in woodwinds, strings, percussion, and brass. In addition, up to five students each semester may enroll in private applied music courses for an extra fee. Meanwhile, all USciences courses are open to Arts students who meet the appropriate prerequisites.
The list of available courses changes each semester. For our students, all courses taken at UArts are treated as USciences courses—both credits and grades will appear on student transcripts.
Note that the two universities have different calendars and different timing arrangements for courses. Spring breaks do not coincide, and class times may vary.
This partnership has already enabled a variety of unique and rewarding collaborations between students and faculty from both schools—and it has the potential to do much more!
