USciences offers a wide range of services to help you improve your skills as a student and become a successful, independent learner. We work with faculty and other student support staff to ensure that you receive the best help we can offer. All of our academic support services are free for matriculating undergraduate students.
Student Success Session (Academic Success Strategies)
One hour seminars that cover topics that will enhance your academic achievement; such as note taking, test taking, goal development, time management and more. The full schedule is available to current students on the Tutoring Center's Blackboard Portal page.
Group Tutoring is available for all students. Tutoring sessions are available for many courses offered at the university. You may request a Peer Tutor online. You may also request one in person at The Tutoring Center. Contact the Center at 215-596-8538 for more information. Students interested in becoming a Peer Tutor can apply online. Paper applications are also available outside of Griffth 344.
We have several resources available to students at our offices throughout the year. All are free unless otherwise noted.
We have an extensive list of textbooks that you may use for reference during office hours. These may not be removed from the Tutoring Center (344 Griffith Hall).
Unique Academic Program Opportunities
Preparation, Retention, and Enrichment Program (PREP)
A small, diverse learning community that focuses on students who desire an individualized focus on their development, and would benefit from additional financial assistance. More Info
A program for first-year students in the summer before their first fall semester. It serves as a means of bridging the gap between the high school and the college experience. More Info
