USciences offers a wide range of services to help you improve your skills as a student and become a successful, independent learner. We work with faculty and other student support staff to ensure that you receive the best help we can offer. All of our academic support services are free for matriculating undergraduate students.
Peer Tutoring is available to students in most first and second year courses at the university. One to two students participate in online sixty-minute sessions conducted by professionally trained Peer Tutors who have successfully completed the course. Current students may schedule a subject tutoring appointment online. For scheduling instructions, service policies, Peer Tutor applications, and more please visit the Student Success Center’s Google Site.
Remote Academic Coaching
Students meet online with the Coordinator of Tutorial Services to discuss an array of academic and professional topics. These meetings provide an opportunity for students to learn about success strategies most relevant to their own learning and working style. Current students may request a meeting online.
Recorded Student Success Presentations
These recorded presentations cover topics that will enhance your academic abilities; such as note taking, test taking, goal development, time management, and more. Requests may be made by both students and faculty for academic use. All recordings can be found on the Tutoring Center page within the Student Success Center google site.
We have several resources available to students at our offices throughout the year. All are free unless otherwise noted.
Study Space (unavailable)
The Tutoring Center area is closed to all students as a result of the continued pandemic. All services are provided remotely until further notice.
