USciences Campus

The USciences campus is the perfect setting for the University's close-knit community of scholars of all ages. Nestled in the heart of University City, just west of Center City Philadelphia, the campus is bordered by the neighborhood’s stately, tree-lined streets and sits adjacent to sprawling, picturesque Clark Park.

The University's 23 buildings, sitting on 36 acres, are comprised of both historic structures and modern facilities, including

  • More than 100 laboratories open to students
  • The leading-edge McNeil Science and Technology Center
  • Three residence halls
  • The Athletic/Recreation Center
  • And the Integrated Professional Education Complex (IPEX), a 57,000-square-foot, three-story building that provides an interprofessional education model for students from several disciplines, including pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise science, psychology and healthcare business and policy, to obtain traditional and hands-on experience

To better meet the needs of its students, the University is planning to construct a new, mixed-use residence hall at 46th Street and Woodland Avenue. Scheduled to open in Spring, 2019, the 426-bed residence hall for first-year (U1) students will be a live-learn community that will incorporate numerous sustainable features to achieve Green Globe certification.

USciences has called University City, one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, home since 1921. The area is a hotbed of education, science, medicine, research and culture and hosts nearly 30,000 students who attend one of the colleges and universities located there.
