USciences Honorary Degree Recipients

At University of the Sciences, the degree of doctor of science, honoris causa, carries with it all of the rights and privileges of the honor. The pre-nominal letters associated with the degree are only to be used when the individual is on campus. In 1887, the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy bestowed its first honorary degrees, five Master of Pharmacy honoris causae, the first to Alfred B. Taylor, an 1841 graduate of the college.
