Have a Bachelors Degree and looking to begin a Doctor of Physical Therapy program?

USciences is a school dedicated to the health sciences, and we offer post-baccalaureate students interested in physical therapy a place in our DPT program. Below you will see what you’ll need to start our program. As a post-baccalaureate student, you will enter the professional phase of the program, and complete the degree in three years.

How does your current coursework stack up?

If you have earned or will have earned a bachelor’s degree prior to the start of the summer semester classes, you may be eligible for entrance into the professional phase of the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program as a post-baccalaureate student. A total of 60 credits in the courses listed below are required:

(Includes 6 cr. of Psychology and an additional 6 cr. of introductory/advanced coursework)

Medical Terminology* 2

Total 62 credits

*If you have not completed medical terminology at the time of acceptance you can opt to complete an online proficiency course prior to the start of the program in May.

Additional Considerations for Post Baccalaureate applicants into the DPT Program:  

  • We will begin accepting applications for 2015 via the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) on July 1. No supplemental application is required.
  • The Physical Therapy program has an application deadline of February 3.
  • An invitation only interview is required for admission into the program.
  • Classes for the professional phase of the Physical Therapy program will begin May, 2015.  As a result, all pre-requisite coursework should be completed by the end of the Spring, 2015 semester. There is a minimum requirement of 3 years of study at USciences to be granted a DPT degree from the University.
