USciences is a school dedicated to the health sciences, and we offer post-baccalaureate students interested in physical therapy a place in our DPT program. Below you will see what you’ll need to start our program. As a post-baccalaureate student, you will enter the professional phase of the program, and complete the degree in three years.
If you have earned or will have earned a bachelor’s degree prior to the start of the summer semester classes, you may be eligible for entrance into the professional phase of the doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program as a post-baccalaureate student. A total of 60 credits in the courses listed below are required:
SUBJECT AREA CREDITS Chemistry w/lab (2 semester sequence) 8 Biology w/lab (2 semester sequence) 8 Physics w/ lab (2 semester sequence) 8 Anatomy & Physiology (2 semester sequence) 8 Nutrition 3 Mathematics (including 1 semester each of Pre-calculus & Statistics) 9. Social Sciences
(Includes 6 cr. of Psychology and an additional 6 cr. of introductory/advanced coursework)12 English (including one 3-credit writing intensive course) 6 Medical Terminology* 2
Total 62 credits
*If you have not completed medical terminology at the time of acceptance you can opt to complete an online proficiency course prior to the start of the program in May.
