USciences is known for its commitment to the sciences, and we offer transfer students interested in biology the choice of three tailored majors: biology, environmental science, and microbiology. Whether you are interested in the biological sciences as a precursor to medical school or other professional schooling, excited about the research to be done in this branch of science or eager to participate in laboratory work that draws on the skills of biological scientists, USciences is for you!

You are eligible for SECOND-YEAR CONSIDERATION if you have completed, at the collegiate level, the following first-year courses:
Introductory Biology I & II with labs
(NOT Anatomy & Physiology)
8 cr. General Chemistry I & II (for science majors) with labs 8 cr. Pre-calculus & Calculus I 6 cr. 2 semesters of Writing Intensive English 6 cr.
General Education—Social Science Requirement
Examples of social sciences are:
- Political Science
You are eligible for THIRD-YEAR CONSIDERATION if you have completed, at the collegiate level, the above first-year courses and the following second-year coursework :
Organic Chemistry I & II with labs 8 cr. Introductory Physics I & II (algebra-based or calculus-based physics with labs)
(not required until 3rd year for microbiology)
8 cr. Basics of Microbiology 3 cr. Advanced Microbiology
(for microbiology majors only)
4 cr. General Education—Social Science Requirement
(for microbiology, Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Psychology are recommended)
3 cr. Biology Electives 4-8 cr.
General Education—Humanities Requirement
Examples of humanities classes are.
- Art Appreciation
- Music Appreciation
- Any Foreign Languages
6 cr. General Education Requirement (Additional Social Science and/or Humanities) 6 cr.
