option for the Doctor of Pharmacy program is pretty much unbeatable,” says
Thomas Keyack. “It’s reassuring to
know you don’t have to reapply to a bunch of places to get into grad school.
You’re already in as long as you maintain the academic requirements.” Keyack
knows whereof he speaks: Both his father and mother graduated with Pharmacy
degrees from USciences, so he was familiar with
the school—and the types of careers possible upon graduation. Observing his parents over the years, he knew for some time that he was also
interested in Pharmacy. “I liked the somewhat
smaller size of the school, too,” Keyack says. “It made
for a great student-to-teacher ratio. You get more personal
attention.” Keyack has also seen firsthand the success of USciences
is currently the USciences Managed Markets Fellow through the Mayes
College of Healthcare Business and Policy. This fellowship opportunity is
in conjunction with Genentech, a biotech company located in South San Francisco.
