Courtney Cavalieri’s essay on Ernest Hemingway wasn’t just accepted to the National Undergraduate Literature Conference—it was lauded as one of the finest ever submitted. Although she plans a career in Nuclear Pharmacy, Cavalieri pursued a minor in the Humanities for a specific reason: "I think it's extremely important for professionals to be well-rounded," she says. Her humanities interest began in high school. "I had amazing teachers who got me into analyzing literature," adds Cavalieri, who served as an assistant editor of USciences’ literary journal, The Elixir. She was also named to the All-Academic All-American Rifle Team and pursues a hobby in photography. At USciences, Cavalieri found a creative counterpoint for her scientific mind.
