Lena Yuen didn’t just choose a career. She immersed herself in it. It’s a trend that started when she participated in the KenCrest Preschool Project to document play behaviors of children and how environmental changes increase social interaction. “I acquired problem-solving skills to help me accomplish what I’m passionate about,” Yuen explains. As an occupational therapist, that passion led her to the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. Also an active volunteer, Yuen gives her time freely to industry associations and such community groups as wheelchair basketball teams. “My education at USciences opened the door to many possibilities,” Yuen says. “My degree has not only allowed me to obtain a great job, but a great life.”
