A double major with a propensity for winning, Erin Chesnavich learned to keep her eye on the clock. Time management and organizational skills helped her to excel in her Biology and Physician Assistant Studies as well as in basketball. In 2009, Chesnavich became the university’s first women’s basketball player to earn first-team all-conference honors and be named to both the Philadelphia Area All-Academic Team and ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District Team. “The athletic department gave me the chance to continue enjoying basketball while pursuing a career in science,” says Chesnavich, adding that studies always came first. “The coaches even adjusted practices around our academic workloads and exams.”
