As he planned for a career in pharmacy, Steve DeVane was attracted to USciences for its direct-entry Doctor of Pharmacy program. “The straight six-year program allowed me to develop close and lasting relationships with faculty and the opportunity to bypass the Pharmacy College Admission Test,” he says. As an undergraduate, DeVane was an active member of Greek life, served as president of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Phi Kappa Psi, and graduated with honors. “I’ll never forget all the great times I had being involved with the University, but it was the hard work that was required to complete projects and pass exams that prepared me for my future as a pharmacist,” he adds. DeVane received a job offer from Wal-Mart prior to graduation and went on to become a retail pharmacist.
