Since Ed Mercadante graduated, he has led multimillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions, helped grow franchise-based pharmacies, and created start-up ventures that have grown to the $100 million level. Most recently, he stepped up as CEO of a large specialty pharmacy and medical product provider. Mercadante vividly recalls his educational experience at USciences, especially the hands-on rotations, internships, and recitation sessions at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. “USciences develops individuals as opposed to just teaching them,” Mercadante says. “Students learn how to think.”
