“I couldn't have made a better choice to further my education and career,” said Thomas H.F. Smith. “It was probably the best seven years of my life, getting my MS and PhD degrees. Throughout his long and storied career, Smith held various industrial positions from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics and chemicals to regulatory affairs. His favorite post, which he held for 10 years, was corporate toxicologist for IBM.
