With more than 70 organizations to participate in, USciences offers students a diverse array of extracurricular options. And the roster of student groups is a fluid one, with organizations added every year to reflect new interests.
“We change with the population and our student interests,” says student activities administrator Patty O’Hagan.
Ms. O'Hagan works closely with student leaders to ensure that activities and events are publicized and carried out smoothly. She also provides leadership, marketing and networking counsel, which fosters skills they can take with them after graduating, and lends a nurturing hand in support of students’ hard work.
“Activities at USciences help students get out into the real world and experience what they’ll face later on,” Ms. O'Hagan says. “The college experience isn’t just about staying in your residence hall and studying.”
