Fifth Annual 5k Race for Humanity
Come cheer on the runners and walkers in the Fifth Annual 5k Race for Humanity Walk/Run to benefit ActionAIDS on Saturday, March 27 at 9 a.m.

On March 2, Rep. James Roebuck, Jr., spoke to senior physical therapy students about advocacy for healthcare professionals. His visit prepared the students for their March 19 presentation to invited members of the state’s Professional Licensure Committee on legislation that would expand access to PT care beyond the current 30 days.

Femi Memorial Tournament Raises $2,500
Twenty-four teams from all over the tri-state area came to play in the third annual tournament that raises money for the Femi Memorial Scholarship fund.

Misher Festival Photo Contest Entry
As part of the Misher Festival of Fine Arts and Humanities (April 12-16) University students, faculty, staff, and alumni were invited to take part in the “Images of Arts & Science” digital photo contest (Photo Gallery). Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham is the visiting professor for the week highlighted by the 25th anniversary celebration for Misher College on April 15.

Vishnu K. Patel P’75 would like to congratulate his son Himal V. Patel PharmD'09 on receiving his degree from University of the Sciences in May 2009. Vishnu works for CVS in Warrington, Pa., as a pharmacist-in-charge.

Robert S. Corson
P’85 and Ramona (Lee) Corson PharmD’87 will celebrate their 24th wedding anniversary this year. They have two daughters, Melissa (20) and Heidi (17). Robert is a pharmacy supervisor at the Kaiser Maui Lani and Wailuku clinics. Ramona is a nephrology clinical pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. She is also a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a certified diabetes educator. The Corsons live in Kahului, Hawaii.

Michael Stern
BC’91 (MBA’02, LaSalle University) has joined BUCHI Corporation in New Castle, DE as director of marketing. He was previously a marketing manager at EMD Chemicals in Gibbstown, NJ. He and his wife Deborah (Matthews) Stern BC’91 live in Wilmington, Del.

Tara (Farina) Velazquez
PharmD’03 and her husband Joe welcomed daughter Zoe Marie on Nov. 3, 2009. Zoe joins big sister Ava, age three. The family resides in Central New Jersey.
