We currently have 3 trainees who work with us during the academic year (September through May, with extension into summer possible with prior approval) completing their clinical practicum. Trainees typically spend 2-3 days on site during regular office hours (9-5) providing individual counseling to our student population under the supervision of one of the professional staff members.
Responsibilities:
Trainees are required to participate in weekly case conference meetings which take place on Fridays from 1-3pm (regardless of the days they are scheduled to work). These meetings are an opportunity to be trained as a group on important procedures and practices at this site, and then shift into more formal case presentations and topical discussions relevant to clinical work. This serves as an opportunity for group supervision and to benefit from the multiple perspectives of both permanent staff and peers.
Applications are accepted beginning in late December, with considerations beginning in January and February and interviews scheduled/ offers made on a rolling basis until slots are filled.
PLEASE NOTE: All training slots have been filled for the 2013-2014 Academic year.
To apply please send an email with cover letter of interest, CV,
and names of at least 2 references (one clinical supervisor and
one academic supervisor) attached to Dr. Alissa Brown, Assistant
Director of Counseling and Coordinator of Graduate Training, at
