The policy of the University of the Sciences is to provide a safe learning/work environment for its students, faculty, staff and visitors.  In addition, the University is committed to providing an environment free of recognizable hazards.  It is the intent of the University to comply with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations and standards and recommended practices.

Department Chairs, Heads of Offices, Directors, Laboratory Advisors, Principal Investigators, Managers and Supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of employees and students engaged in activities under their supervision.  They must ensure that their employees and students comply with relevant regulations, and University policies, and that work activities are performed in a safe manner.  Training and information must also be provided when working with or near hazardous substances or equipment.
