Patrick Hennessy MPT’07, NCS
Patrick Hennessy is a research physical therapist in the locomotor recovery lab as part of the sensory motor performance program at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. In addition, he is a clinician on the inpatient spinal cord injury unit. His current clinical projects include tracking neurologic conversion in individuals with sub-acute spinal cord injury and implementing a standardized high-intensity locomotor training program in the inpatient setting. Current research studies include "Very Intensive Early Walking Post-Stroke: The VIEWS trial" and "Monoaminergic Modulation After Sub-Acute Spinal Cord Injury."
Lisa Mackell MPT’88
Lisa Mackell is the president and founder of Theraplay, Inc., a provider of children’s physical, occupational, and speech therapy and special education services. Lisa founded Theraplay, Inc. in 1991, which has grown to six outpatient centers and almost 200 staff. Lisa has spoken at APTA’s Private Practice Section annual conferences, as well as other conferences, on topics including staff motivation, customer service, parenting, child development, and human resources. Lisa has also provided in-services at high schools and teenage camps on career development, leadership, and goal setting. Lisa is happily married to her husband Steve, who is also the chief operating officer at Theraplay, Inc., and is the mother of two teenagers.
Jeff Rogers MPT’04, DPT’06, FAAOMPT
Following his graduation, Jeff Rogers, Jr., began his manual therapy residency program through The Manual Therapy Institute and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) since 2009. Jeff co-founded Mid Atlantic Manual Therapy Consultants, a physical therapy continuing education provider, with fellow USciences alumnus Alex Antonini DPT, CIMT, FAAOMT and Vladimir Camurungan, PT, FAAOMPT, in 2010. Jeff is currently the area therapy director for Concentra in the Greater Philadelphia region. He is an approved mentor for residents of The Manual Therapy Institute, regularly teaches weekend CEU seminars with MAMTC, and guest lectures at USciences.
