Faculty Implementation of Approved Accommodations

Faculty play an important role in the accommodation process. As the coordinator for their course, faculty facilitate the implementation of academic accommodations.  Faculty should not implement an accommodation until they receive a letter from Office of Academic Accommodations defining what accommodations have been approved.

Jane Jarrow, DAIS is an expert in the disability field. To read an informative article about faculty and accommodations, "When Faculty are TOO Accommodating!".  To read this article you will need Adobe reader.

If faculty have a student with an accommodation that is not listed below, and needs support or has questions, please contact Office of Academic Accommodations. Unless otherwise noted in the student’s letter, accommodations do not apply to group/team work.

Below are links to the most commonly approved accommodations and information on how faculty can implement these accommodations.
