The USP baseball team will be playing in the Eighth-Annual Bill Giles Invitational Championship game at Citizen’s Bank Park on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Game time is 4:00 p.m. USP will be playing West Chester University.
The Devils reached the championship game by defeating Wilmington University on Tuesday, 13-5. West Chester University’s Golden Rams, ranked sixth nationally in the U.S. Baseball Writers Association (USBWA) poll, defeated Philadelphia University to reach the final.
This will be USP’s second appearance at Citizen’s Bank Park. USP and West Chester played in the championship game in 2004—the first collegiate baseball game ever played at the ballpark.
Tickets for the event are $5 apiece and can be purchased at the First Base or Plaza ticket windows. The gates open at 3:30 p.m.

To get to the ballpark via SEPTA: Take the #11 or #36 trolley that runs along Woodland Avenue eastbound to the 15th street stop. Transfer to the Broad Street Line, then take Broad Street line south to Pattison Avenue. Exit and walk to ballpark.
