To all USciences staff and faculty:
I am pleased to announce that Therese Anderson is joining University of the Sciences as Registrar.
Therese (also called Terry) comes to USciences from Gwynedd-Mercy College where she has served as Registrar since 1998. She also served as Registrar and Director of Institutional Research for Harcum College, and began her career in higher education records administration at Neumann College where she rose to the role of Registrar though several promotions.
Therese has been active in professional organizations, most recently serving as President of the Delaware Valley Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admission. She holds a BA in Sociology and an MS in Administration.
Therese's first day will be on October 8. During the intervening period the day-to-day operations of the office will be jointly managed by Ellen Carlson, associate registrar, and Ed Addis, associate registrar for operations, who will be reporting directly to Barbara Elliott, associate provost for enrollment management.
I want to thank the Search Committee, consisting of Paula Lehrberger (chair), Elisabeth Morlino, Cathy Poon, Michael Kenny, Ross Radish, John Masciantonio, James Yarrish, and Gus Di Stefano for their thoughtful work in identifying the top candidate to fill this important role for University of the Sciences. I also thank Barbara Elliott for her skillful management of the search process, and Tairee Wallace for serving as a guide and important resource for the Committee and the Provost’s Office.
The Registrar is a vital role in many of the University’s functions, and I ask you to welcome Therese to campus, and work with her and the outstanding Registrar’s Office staff to provide the highest quality college experience for our students.
Peter Miller, PhD
