USciences Chapter Celebrates Phi Del Week

In an effort to expand on-campus awareness and knowledge regarding different areas of pharmacy, the collegiate brothers of Phi Delta Chi, Epsilon chapter, are hosting their second annual Phi Del Week. This year, Phi Del Week centers on some of the various career opportunities the pharmacy profession.

Events are being held during the week of September 26. The week starts on Monday with daily poster presentations  corresponding to certain fields/careers in pharmacy in the McNeil STC atrium between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the exception of Wednesday, Sept. 28 in Wilson Hall lobby.
 
On Monday night, in the McNeil STC’s AstraZeneca Auditorium, the Brothers hosted two guest speakers - Rich Becker  P’88 and Mark Taylor P’91 - who discussed their careers in independent pharmacy ownership and the pharmaceutical industry. The event also provided networking opportunities for pharmacy students. A pharmacy carnival will take place Wednesday night in Wilson Dining Hall from 8 to 11 p.m. with free food for all and gifts to the first 100 attendees.
 
The Epsilon Chapter is working closely with USciences Career Services Department to organize the week.
 
Phi Delta Chi is a national Professional Pharmacy Fraternity which endeavors to foster the ideals of leadership, service, and professionalism amongst its student-pharmacist members.
