On Nov. 10, the Office of Inter-professional Education sponsored a lecture entitled “Inter-professional Education: What Does it Mean for Samson College?” by Dr. Robert Wellmon (left), Associate Professor in the Institute for Physical Therapy Education at Widener University.
One hundred and thirty eight Samson College students were introduced to the concept of working as a team in a professional setting. The lecture showed the benefits patients/clients would receive from the collaborative effort such as higher quality and safety of the services. Communication and problem solving capabilities in a team setting are key to the future of health care delivery.
