There was no escape from running into someone representing USciences’ Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP) at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting in New Orleans. The perception was thanks to a record number of students as well as a strong faculty and alumni turnout at the conference from Dec. 5-8.
Over 300 students, faculty, and alumni attended the networking and socializing alumni reception on December 5. That event at the Hilton Riverside was hosted by the office of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association.
During the conference, a record 95 P4 PharmD students were in attendance. Twenty students were listed as presenters, while 13 student poster presenters were mentored by 14 PCP faculty and 12 preceptors. Sandra La and Timmy Li represented PCP in the ASHP Clinical Skills Competition
In addition funding from College of Graduate Studies Dean Dr. Rodney Wigent and alumni contributions helped to subsidize student travel for those who presented posters and those in the clinical skills competition.
