Three Elected to Board of Trustees

University of the Sciences board of trustees has elected Dr. Aminta Hawkins Breaux and Dominic A. Marasco to full terms as at-large members and named Richard Hall an the alumni representative. The responsibilities of the University’s board include approving the University’s strategic plans and ensuring their consistency with the institution’s mission and goals. Dr. Breaux was previously named to the board in 2011 to fill a vacancy while Marasco had been an alumni representative since 2009.

Aminta Hawkins Breaux, PhD, vice president for student affairs at Millersville University, is no stranger to the university having served as USciences’ dean of students from 2000 to 2008. She serves as member of the board of directors of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and was a director and member of the executive committee of Philadelphia Academies, Inc., among other corporate and non-profit affiliations. Dr. Breaux earned her PhD in counseling psychology from Temple University and a master’s degree from University of Pennsylvania. She also served as an assistant provost at Drexel University.

Richard Hall, MBA, has had a diverse career in healthcare since graduating from USciences in 1983 with a BS in medical technology and later earning an MBA from Drexel University. He is currently director of research and development, and portfolio management information at GlaxoSmithKline where he has been for the past 11 years. Prior to joining GSK, Hall was principal consultant with Barnett International, a subsidiary of PAREXEL International. He had worked in various medical laboratories before managing a health center and ultimately jumping into the pharmaceutical research and development world.

Dominic A. Marasco P’96, RPh, serves as executive vice president of business development for inVentiv Health. Marasco has over 15 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and the healthcare industry overall. He has held various leadership positions in business development (U.S. and Global), corporate development, clinical field force operations, and alliance management. Prior to joining inVentiv, Marasco was senior director of U.S. Sales for Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals, a Novartis Company, worked at Quintiles, and was the founder and CEO of Pharmaceutical Health Management Company, Inc., a time management, data warehousing, and clinical education company. He is a 1996 graduate of the University’s Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
