Necie Steward Named Director of Advancement Services

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia recently welcomed Necie Steward as director of advancement services in the University’s Office of Institutional Advancement.

Steward joins the University bringing 19 years of experience in information systems, fundraising database software, and gift processing management and stewardship. Most recently, Steward served as associate director of development at Coriell Institute for Medical Research. Prior to that role, she served as associate director of information systems and donor services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and as IT project leader for alumni affairs & annual giving at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

“As a resident of West Philadelphia, I am inspired by the commitment to education in this area and in the city as a whole,” said Steward. “Working for the first college of pharmacy in North America is an honor and a privilege. I am looking forward to applying my experience in advancement services to help the University to remain in contact with its esteemed alumni and to showcase the talent on campus to the world.”

In her new role as director of advancement services, Steward will be responsible for the management of the Office of Institutional Advancement’s database and gift processing area.

Steward received a bachelor of arts degree from LaSalle University. She is a native of Sewell, N.J. and currently resides in Philadelphia, Pa.
