University of the Sciences in Philadelphia

Susanne E. Ferrin has been named director of student life at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Ferrin will provide key leadership in the areas of residence life, new student orientation, Greek life, and student leadership development.

Prior to joining the University, Ferrin served as director of residential education services at Montclair State University in New Jersey, where she was also a member of the Student Development and Campus Life Division management team. Prior to assuming responsibility for Montclair’s residential communities, she served the university as the coordinator of student conduct in the Office of the Dean of Students. Ferrin has extensive experience in residence life and student affairs, having worked in a variety of previous positions at Carnegie Mellon University, Gettysburg College, Philadelphia University, and Temple University.

Ferrin is an active member of the American College Personnel Association, the Association of College and University Housing Officers International, the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO), and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. In fall 2008, MACUHO awarded her the David G. Butler Distinguished Service Award for her years of lasting and significant contributions to the organization.
