The Career Services Department has expanded its arsenal of resources to help students attain their professional goals all in a new on-campus location on the second floor of Whitecar Hall. USciences has recently formed partnerships with outside sources to give students the ability to research careers, practice interviews, and interactively apply for jobs and internships online.

“Career Services is committed to helping our students explore career options, gain professional experience, and efficiently transition to graduate school or the world of work,” said Kimberly Bryant, director of career services. “This year, we are proud to offer new, unique programs and tools that will better support our mission.”

 These new resources include:

  • College Central Network – the nation’s largest network for college job seekers. The service provides students the flexibility to post, search, and apply for internships and jobs online.
  • InterviewStream – the premier provider of video interviewing solutions. The service allows students to record, replay, and analyze mock interviews via a webcam. InterviewStream also hosts virtual career fairs, role-play training, and video interview management systems, making it possible to interview for a position anywhere in the world.
  • Focus-2 – a cutting edge career exploration and education planning system designed exclusively for post-secondary institutions. The service combines self assessment, career exploration and decision making into one comprehensive program helping students map out a career path and select the right major area of study offered at your school to support their career goals.
  • Devil’s Advocates – a unique mentoring experience for first-year, transfer, and upperclassmen. Through the program, these “Protégés” will obtain valuable career advice, as well as improve their overall college experience, by connecting with “Advocates,” upperclassmen who have been nominated by their peers, faculty, and staff.

In addition, Career Services has recently located to a new central location on campus in Suite 2400 Whitecar Hall.
