USciences Hosts Health Care Fraud Summit

USciences was the site for the Philadelphia Health Care Fraud Prevention Summit on June 17, 2011. It was the sixth in a series of summits around the country and are part of a larger effort on behalf of the Obama Administration to root-out waste, fraud and abuse within the U.S. health care system. USciences President Dr. Philip P. Gerbino provided opening remarks to those in attendance at the day-long meeting that featured U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Watch
 
The Summit brought together Federal, State and local partners; representatives from enforcement agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to highlight fraud prevention efforts, provide information about how patients and companies in the public and private sectors can protect themselves from fraud and discuss innovative ways to eliminate fraud in the U.S. health care system.
