University of the Sciences has named Barbara Elliott to the newly created role of associate provost for enrollment management, it was announced recently by USciences Provost Dr. Russell J. DiGate. Elliott joins USciences from University of the Arts where she was vice president for enrollment management and dean of admission and financial aid.
At USciences, Elliott will oversee the offices of admission, financial aid, and registrar to develop recruitment and retention strategies while collaborating with the marketing and student affairs departments. She will also be responsible for developing and implementing a five-year enrollment plan to support the University’s academic and strategic plans that emphasize financial aid strategies and the ability to attract and retain a diverse and quality student body.
Elliott had been at University of the Arts since 1990 climbing the ranks from director of admission to dean of enrollment management to the vice president position she held prior to leaving. She has served and continues to serve on numerous committees for both regional and national organizations and has made presentations to numerous organizations and societies, including the Independent Educational Consultants Association, the European Council of International Schools, the Pennsylvania Association of College Admission Counseling, and the National Association of College Admission Counselors.
A native of Point Pleasant, N.J., Elliott earned an MS in management from Rosemont College, holds a BA degree from Thomas Edison State College and also attended Moore College of Art and Design. She resides in Philadelphia
with her husband, Michael Rossman, and has a daughter, Anne, who currently attends University of the Arts.
