Calling all alumni!
There’s still time to register for Reunion 2009, which will be held on Saturday, September 26 on the University’s campus. Classes ending in 4’s and 9’s, from 1929 through 2004, are celebrating special reunions this year, but all alumni are invited.
This year, everything old is new again as Reunion returns to the popular dinner dance format.
“Many of our alums told us that they missed the dinner dance, which has not been part of more recent reunions,” explained Nancy Shils, manager of Alumni Relations. “We responded by changing the format of Reunion so the day ends with a dinner dance for alumni from all classes.”
Reunion 2009 begins at 1 p.m., with activities including alumni/student events, tours of the campus and community, a faculty speaker program, and special receptions for Reunion classes and affinity groups such as fraternities, sororities, athletic teams and professional organizations. The day will culminate with the evening dinner dance, which includes the presentation of the prestigious Alumni Association Awards.
“We expect to see many graduates at this year’s Reunion, especially those from the milestone 25th and 50th Reunion classes,” Shils continued. “There’s no better time to reconnect with your friends and classmates and see the many exciting changes on campus.”
