The culmination of research, surveying, strategizing, and planning began to show on the roadways and airways of Philadelphia with the launch of University of the Sciences’ “Discover” campaign. The campaign features billboards, SEPTA bus tails and interior signs, and radio spots that capture the essence of the new USciences’ branding with “Discover” and the tag line, “where healthcare and science converge.”
Online, the University’s URL has been switched to usciences.edu and coincides with supportive keyword SEARCH campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing. In January, online ads will begin appearing on a number of well known websites.
“You may have seen our print ad in the November Philadelphia Business Journal or in area community college newspapers,” said Maria Buehler, vice president for marketing. “All of these efforts are being supported by new banners on campus, a TV spot in high schools and additional website updates. And in February, in conjunction with Founders’ Day, PCP will receive special attention.”
The radio spots are running through the end of February. They feature a general awareness ad and one that appeals to transfer students (listen: general | transfer) along with announcer read scripts that focus on PCP, PT, and pre-med offerings. These five spots will air on WHYY 91 FM, 1060 KYW, B101 FM, 95.7 Ben-FM, Q102, WMMR, WRFF 104.5 FM, and 88.5. Due to the station’s advertising requirements, WHYY and XPN will only be running the PCP, PT and pre-med announcer-read spots.
If you are driving on the PA Turnpike, the Schuylkill Expressway, or interstate 95, keep an eye out for billboards that feature the “Discover” campaign. In February, the signs will change from an overall University branding to one geared towards Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
And if you are riding behind SEPTA buses in the city or happen to be commuting, check out the “Discover” campaign on bus tails and interior cards.
