Dr. Karleen Melody has been named assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at University of the Sciences’ Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. In addition, Dr. Melody is establishing a clinical practice site with SunRay Drugs, an independent pharmacy in the West Philadelphia area.
Dr. Melody’s clinical goals are to develop a medication therapy management service, immunization program, and diabetes education program in order to meet the medication-related needs of her patients. She is an active member of state and national pharmacy organizations, including the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), for which she is an advisor for.
Dr. Melody received a bachelor’s of science in biology at Shippensburg University and her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her community pharmacy practice residency at Kerr Health and South Carolina College of Pharmacy, in Charleston, SC.
Dr. Melody currently lives in center city Philadelphia.
