Whisler Ends Reign as President of SGA, New Officers Named

With the ending of the 2009-2010 academic school years, Allen Whisler PharmD’12 will step down from his place as president of the Student Government Association and the new Executive Board will step in.

Elections were held during the week of March 23 to decide who will be the new voice for USciences’ students and make up the board for SGA.

“I would like to congratulate the 2010-2011 SGA Executive Board for being elected into their positions and wish them luck,” said Whisler. The new members are:

President:         Steven Tambon PH/TX’12

Executive Vice President:          Lindsay Hummel PharmD’15

Vice President of Academic Affairs:      Michael Flacco PharmD’14

Vice President of Student Affairs:          Hany Karara PharmD’14

Vice President of Finance:         Nicki Wolfersberger BI’12

Vice President of Campus Activities:     Abby Hoffer PharmD’15

Speaker of the Senate: Jesse Goldberg PharmD’14

Committee Chair of Public Relations:     Jaimee Capone PH/TX’13

Committee Chair of Student Services:   Amanda Mastrogiovanni PharmD’14

Committee Chair of Safety and Security:           Sarah Borger PH/TX’11

Committee Chair of Multicultural Affairs:           Radha Shah Pharmd’15

In an outgoing e-mail, Whisler recounted accomplishments to aid student needs: “We increased access to computer labs by increasing the number of computer labs on campus and adding hours to existing ones, we increased classrooms and lecture halls with wireless internet, and we were able to assist in getting students more prints this semester.”
