Dr. Maria Cristina Tettamanzi de Sproviero was named associate director and instructor of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Laboratory within the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at University of the Sciences.
Dr. Tettamanzi earned her master of chemistry and a PhD in chemistry from the School of Exact and Natural Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. During her PhD research, Dr. Tettamanzi served as a teaching assistant and instructor at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. Her PhD dissertation focused on the isolation and characterization of natural products using various spectroscopic methods, mainly NMR. She also conducted postdoctoral research on NMR protein elucidation at Yale University’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Tettamanzi, who now lives in Philadelphia with her husband Eduardo and their son Sebastian, originally hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
